Brief Profile
Dr Peter S Hsu is a Paediatric Allergist and Immunologist with more than 10 years of experience in the diagnosis/management of paediatric allergic and immunological disorders.
Dr Hsu was born in Taiwan and is fluent in both Mandarin and English. He completed a Bachelor of Medicine degree at the University of Melbourne. Following his graduation in 2002, he commenced general paediatric training and proceeded to further sub-specialty training in Allergy and Immunology at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead. Dr Hsu obtained his Fellowship in Paediatric Allergy and Immunology in 2013.
Dr Hsu is a staff specialist in Paediatric Allergy and Immunology at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead. He runs the severe eczema clinic at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead and has significant expertise in the management of paediatric allergic and immune dysregulatory disorders, including immune deficiencies. In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr Hsu has completed a PhD in immune tolerance in 2014 and continues to be very active in research, particularly in the fields of immune dysregulation and allergy. He is an advisory member of the National Allergy Centre of Excellence (NACE) as well as an investigator for the NHMRC funded Centre for Food Allergy Research (CFAR). He has over 40 publications in reputable international peer-reviewed journals and has presented his research at multiple national and international conferences.
Outside medicine, Dr. Hsu is the proud father of a son. He is a serving member of the local church and is passionate about photography and tennis.
