Brief Profile
Dr Eric Lee is a specialist paediatric allergist and immunologist. Eric completed his medical degree at The University of Sydney in 2016. He trained at the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network (Children’s Hospital at Westmead and Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick) and was awarded his Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2025.
Eric has expertise and special interests in diagnosing and managing children with food allergies (IgE-mediated and non-IgE-mediated); drug and insect sting allergies; severe eczema; chronic urticaria; allergic rhinitis; autoimmunity and immune dysregulation; and suspected immune deficiencies.
Eric has a passion for research and education, holding a Bachelor of Science with honours (majoring in Immunology and Microbiology), and a Doctor of Philosophy in Medicine at the University of Sydney (2020), with his thesis focusing on food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome (FPIES) in Australian children. He continues to be actively involved as an honorary research fellow with the Department of Allergy and Immunology at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, investigating the immunopathophysiology of FPIES. He is also an active member of the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA), and contributes to national conferences, GP/general paediatric education, and has had multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals.
